This small pin has an early safety catch, dating it to pre 1930. It is crafted in gold tone metal it can be worn as a pin or flipped upside down and worn as a pendant. It is stamped on the pendant loop MS&CO as near as I can make out. The stamp shows from the front of the piece and the end is obscured by the loop of metal going around the bottom.
It measures 7/8" long x 1" wide
There is wear to the plating, clasp is in good working order, the thumb stud slides up to release and down to secure, the opposite of modern safety catches.
We are always happy to combine shipping IF YOU FIND A SCALY GREEN SUBSTANCE ON YOUR JEWELRY: This is called verdigris and it most commonly affects gold tone pieces. It needs to be removed as it is eating the metal. You can remove it using vinegar on a cotton swab. Isolate any pieces with verdigris from your other jewelry until you have removed it, as it can spread.
IF YOU LOSE A STONE: Never fear, I am happy to replace stones for you. Simply contact me and include a photo of your piece. While I am not doing enameling and soldering jobs yet, there are still some basic repairs I am able to do, so please reach out.
